ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ හෝර්ටන් තැන්න ජාතික වනෝද්‍යානයේ දී ග්‍රහණය කර ගත් මේ ඡායාරූපයේ පෙනෙන මල සහ කුරුල්ලා යන දෙකම ශ්‍රී ලංකාවට ආවේණික වීම මෙම ඡායාරූපයේ මා දකින ප්‍රධානම විශේෂත්වයයි.
ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ මධ්‍යම කඳුකරයේ දක්නට ලැබෙන මේ කුඩා කුරුල්ලා ලංකාවට ආවේණික "ශ්‍රී ලංකා සිතැසියා" Sri Lankan White Eye (Zosterops ceylonensis) නම් පක්ෂියායි. සුවිශේෂී පක්ෂියෙක් වන මෙම පක්ෂියා කඳුකර වනාන්තරවල සහ උද්‍යානවල සශ්‍රීකව ජීවත් වන අතර ගස් හා පඳුරු අතර ක්‍රියාකාරී ආහාර සෙවීමේ හැසිරීමක් දක්වයි. කෘමීන්, මල් පැණි සහ පලතුරු වැනි දෑ ආහාරයට ගනියි. පරාගණයට සහ බීජ ව්‍යාප්තියට උපකාරී වන අතර වනාන්තර සෞඛ්‍යය පවත්වා ගැනීමේ ප්‍රධාන ක්‍රියාකාරිකයෙකු ද වෙයි. ආවේණික විශේෂයක් ලෙස, ශ්‍රී ලංකා සිතැසියා දිවයිනේ අද්විතීය ජෛව විවිධත්වයේ සංකේතයකි.
මෙහි ඇති මල, ලංකාවට ආවේණික මහ රත්මල Maha Rathmala [𝐑𝐡𝐨𝐝𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐫𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐮𝐦 𝐳𝐞𝐲𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐦] නම් මධ්‍යම පළාතේ පුෂ්පයයි.
මෙම දීප්තිමත් රතු පැහැති මල් හෝර්ටන් තැන්න ජාතික වනෝද්‍යානයේ භූ දර්ශනයට වර්ණවත් බවක් එක් කරයි.
හෝර්ටන් තැන්න කියන්නෙ, යුනෙස්කෝ ලෝක උරුම අඩවියක් වන අතර ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ මධ්‍යම කඳුකරයේ ජෛව විවිධත්වය උපරිම ස්ථානයකි. මෙම උද්‍යානය තෘණ බිම්, වලාකුළු වනාන්තර සහ විවිධ ආවේණික ශාක හා සත්ත්ව විශේෂ ඇතුළු අද්විතීය කඳුකර පරිසර පද්ධති සඳහා නිවහන වේ.

The bird is a Sri Lanka 𝗦𝗿𝗶 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗸𝗮𝗻 𝗪𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲-𝗲𝘆𝗲 (Zosterops ceylonensis) a small, endemic passerine bird found in the central highlands of Sri Lanka. Known for its distinctive white eye-ring, this bird thrives in montane forests and gardens, Active foraging behavior among trees and shrubs.
